• There are 52 cards in the pack, and the ranking of the individual cards, from high to low, is ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. There is no ranking between the suits – so for example the king of hearts and the king of spades are equal.
• Flush occurs when all 5 cards are of same type, that is spade,club or heart.
• Straight flushes are when the cards are in the same order.
• A full house is when someone has 3 cards from one type and 2 of another.
• High cards are when none of the card belong to the same suit.This is the most dangerous of all possible position. The winner is determined by the highest value of highest card.

RULES OF PLAYING POKER

Different poker forms have different rules and characteristics.

• Like straight poker is known as the grandfather form of poker. It is a straightforward version of poker. Each player draws five cards and then bet.
• In 7 card stud every player choose seven cards and decide which five cards he/she wants to use for his hand.
• Similarly, in 5 card stud every player choose 5 cards and decide which 2 cards he/she wants to use for his hand.
• In draw poker players swap or throw away cards in order to get a random card.
